For admission, you will have to appear in the Centralised Common Entrance Examination (CCEE) conducted by the Mumbai University for admission to the BMS courses. Notification for this examination is published after your HSC examination in March. The CCEE is essentially an aptitude test consisting of questions on English language, Numerical aptitude (Arithmetic), Logical reasoning and Abstract (or visual) reasoning. There are 100 questions, which are to be answered in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You will have to apply separately to individual colleges for admission. University of Mumbai prepares a merit list on the basis of the performance in the CCEE and the merit list is sent to every college offering BMS course. Every college then prepares a list of students who have applied to them according to merit in the CCEE examination. Admission is made on the basis of the list prepared by the college.
After this course, there is a possibility of getting an entry-level job in marketing, human resources, operations, or finance functions of corporate organisations. You can also opt for a Master degree course in Management (MMS or MBA or equivalent course). |
